The President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, met at the La Moneda Palace with the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
The meeting -of a private nature- takes place within the framework of the business tour that the American politician is carrying out in Latin America.
After the meeting with the President, where they discussed issues related to national security, the migration crisis and climate change, Blinken will hold another meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonia Urrejola.
It should be noted that Blinken’s tour of the region began last Monday, October 3, when he arrived in Colombia and held a meeting with President Gustavo Pedro to address drug trafficking, peace and immigration issues.
After passing through the country, Blinken will go to Peru, where he has an agreed meeting with the head of state Pedro Castillo and the Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, César Landa.
