The authorities of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), began a training process for nurses from the first level of care in health centers, Minsa Capsi and hospitals, in the province of Veraguas, for the application of the vaccine against the covid-19 from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer for children between 6 months and 5 years of age.
The head of nursing of the Minsa, in the province of Veraguas, Gina Alvarado, explained that they will be applying these vaccines in the coming weeks and revealed that for this age group they will be applied exclusively in health facilities both the Social Security Fund (CSS) as of the Minsa because there is no program to enable mobile vaccination in shopping centers, parks or other areas as on previous occasions.

They will touch on issues of humanization in care, vaccines according to the age, weight and height of the children.
“Vaccines are completely free and save lives,” they pointed out, reiterating that it is no longer acceptable for children to become infected and often die from vaccine-preventable diseases.
