The union sector is preparing a proposal for an early review of the wage rate that it will present this year to the National Salary Committee (CNS)reported yesterday the president of the National Confederation of Trade Union Unity (CNUS), Rafael-Pepe-Abreu.
He specified that the proposal will be announced when the direct effects of storm Fiona pass in the country. He favored a salary review that goes beyond minimum wages.
He stated that the union sector, based on the fact that the current rate has been applied for more than a year, can request a review as established by the Work code.
He considered that the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) never made an actual wage increase proposal, instead its president made a gimmicky statement.
