The Small Industry Committee (COPEI)of the National Society of Industries (SNI), celebrates 50 years having managed to strengthen the productivity of the Micro and Small Industry, being the supplier of large companies with its highly competitive services.
COPEI will hold the Business Summit for Micro and Small Industry in Peru-CEMPI 2022 on October 12 and 13, in order to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The event will take place at Calle Los Laureles 365, San Isidro. First, on the 12th will be the inauguration, with the presence of the deputy minister of Mype, Luis Martín Mesones Odar, and the president of Promperú, Amora Carbajal Schumacher. While on October 13, the conference “Strategic services to strengthen the productivity of the Micro and Small Industry” will be held, by Pablo César Robles Soria, director of the ITP.

Jose Antonio Valcárcel, president of COPEI, indicated that the small industry in our country is highly competitive and innovative, with quick responses to market needs. In addition, he also points out that it is a supplier of high quality products and competitive with any company in the world. Likewise, he specified that the financial entities are also continuous applicants of the services of the small industry.
Finally, he recalled that 50 years ago the SNI created COPEI to support the country’s industrialization, with the vision of providing opportunities to small industrial enterprises that responded to market needs. “Fifty years ago, the SNI, basically made up of large industrial companies, saw the need to generate value chains where small industries from various subsectors were suppliers to large companies, in order to achieve a business fabric that would give power to the long-awaited industrialization of the country”note.
