Inhabitants of El Canal street in Valencia fear being permanently without electricity due to the effects that the branches of the trees are generating in the high-voltage wiring
Inhabitants of the Los Samanes sector, located in the Valencia municipality of Carabobo state, denounce that they suffer from power cuts that are recorded daily due to the continuous short circuits generated by the movements of the branches that cover the high voltage wiring in the locality.
About 80 families fear being permanently without electricity due to the effects that the lack of pruning of the trees that are intertwined in the community’s high-voltage wiring may generate.

Vilma Cedeño is one of the residents of the community. She says that when the force of the breeze shakes the trees, the sparks do not wait, and with them the continuous blackouts that generate the brush of the branches on the power lines of the place.
“La Canal street is the most affected because there are the tallest and most leafy trees. It is there that the pruning should begin. Let’s not expect a tragedy to occur and a child or older adult to be injured by sparks from the wiring,” she stressed.
For the local, the intervention and action of the authorities is necessary, with machinery that allows the correct pruning of the bushes and minimizes the risk that the residents of the community face on a daily basis.
