The apartment where the Northeast regional director of the Ministry of Public healthRafael Rodríguez, in an urbanization in the city of San Francisco de Macorís, was shot by unknown individuals.
When making the complaint, the official said that his house has three bullet holes in the front.
He assumes the attack occurred at 2:00 am today, at which time he says he heard several shots.
However, it was around 7:00 in the morning that he realized that his home had bullet holes.
Although Rafael Rodríguez says he does not know where the attack came from, he understands that the disagreement of some sector can be addressed due to his functions as Northeast regional director of the health entity.
“We do not suspect or stop suspecting anyone, since the people who fulfill a public function do not know who can feel offended by any nonsense,” he pronounced.
Agents of the National Police and members of the Public Ministry went to Rodriguez’s building in San Francisco de Macorís, where they collected various pieces of evidence.
