The National Election Jury (JNE)through the platform informed votehas made available to the public the resumes of the candidates who will participate in the Regional and Municipal Elections 2022which states whether or not the candidate has a criminal record or complaints.
On Sunday, October 2, we will elect governors, lieutenant governors, and regional councilors, as well as the mayors and aldermen of the municipal, provincial, and district councils throughout the country.

How do I check my candidate’s background?
To review the Informed Vote platform enter HERE. Once there you must enter the option “Search your candidate” by doing CLICK HERE. Then follow these steps:
- Enter the candidate’s name to access their resume.
- Once in the resume, you will find the options “List of sentences” (in the criminal field) and “Alimony, contractual, labor or family violence sentences”, where the information provided by the candidates appears.
In addition to the sentences entered by each candidate, voters can review the “Criminal Sentences” option in the “Electoral Dashboard” section, where these types of sanctions against candidates can also be reviewed. Enter this option by doing CLICK HERE.
In the “Electoral Dashboard” you can also see the consolidated criminal and civil sentences by political group.
Studies, work experience and income
In addition to the sentences, voters can find in the resumes candidate information related to:
- Basic education studies
- Technical studies
- Non-university and/or university studies, postgraduate degrees
- Work experience
- Partisan or popularly elected positions
- Resignations made to other parties
- Income from goods and income
