Preliminary hearing for the Red Devils compensation case will be held at the Roberto Durán stadium

The First Court for Criminal Proceedings of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama, informs the parties and the public in general, that within the criminal process followed by 543 defendants, for the alleged commission of the crime Against the Public Administration, to the detriment of the Transit and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT), due to alleged irregularities during the compensation process of the buses called “Red Devils”, the use of the Roberto Durán Gymnasium has been confirmed, for the celebration of the Preliminary Hearing, from January 17 to February 18, 2022, at 8:30 am, to assess the legal merit of this summary.

In this sense, the Court, in order to guarantee compliance with the biosafety measures, managed the premises due to the capacity of more than 700 people who are called to attend the hearing, among the accused, prosecutors, plaintiffs and defenders.

It should be noted that the First Criminal Court, anticipating any situation that prevents the holding of this preliminary hearing act on the day and time indicated, has set an Alternate date from March 14 to May 13, 2022, at 8 : 30 am

This summary is related to the “Administrative Rescue Process of the Collective Public Transportation System of Passengers for the Implementation of the New Mass Mobilization System in the Districts of Panama and San Miguelito”.
