After the attack on Cristina Kirchner, they prepare a mass "for peace" in Luján

This Thursday marks a week since the attack on Cristina Kirchner and, while the investigations of the case advance, all the political parties and forces of the country were summoned to a mass “for peace” in Luján.

The invitation was made by the mayor of Luján, who summoned the entire national cabinet to the ceremony to repudiate, once again, the attack against the vice president. Meanwhile, the opposition would have stated that he will not attend the mass, after the assassination attempt against Cristina Kirchner.

The ceremony will be open to the public.

The Eucharist “for peace and brotherhood of Argentines”, after the attack on Cristina Kirchner, will be held this Saturday at the Basilica of Luján at 1:00 p.m. Businessmen, trade unionists and social movements were also invited to the event.

For her part, the vice president has not confirmed her attendance at the ceremony; However, sources close to the leader assured that she “is interested in everyone being there.”

The vice president has received a lot of support after the attack.

Even the Minister of the Interior, Wado De Pedro, would have personally called governors and opposition leaders to confirm their attendance, since it would not be a political act, but an event to ask for peace for all Argentines.

In the call, the Mayor of Luján, Leonardo Boto, “urges citizens to join in prayer that heals wounds, raises our eyes and makes us witnesses of fraternity and sincere dialogue”.

The president would confirm his attendance at the ceremony in the next few hours.

And he added: “The invitation is extended to all political forces and their representatives, to neighbors and neighbors of other Christian and religious confessions, with the purpose of recognizing each other and meeting in this prayer for the long-awaited social peace, dialogue between leaders and those responsible for our leadership”.

“Prayer for Peace”

After the attack on the vice presidentthe executive commission of the Episcopal Conference chaired by Bishop Oscar Ojea called for a “prayer for peace and fraternity” to be held in all the country’s parishes and chapels.
