“We have a historical political responsibility to conduct this new process in the best possible way so that finally, at the end of the road, we can reach a constitutional text that does unite us and convene us,” added the legislator.
Likewise, he indicated that he will meet today morning – at about 10:00 a.m. – with the President Gabriel Boric and with the senate helmsman, Alvaro Elizalde (PS) to “coordinate with respect to what is to come”.
In addition, he expressed that “we have made a call that is necessary today to consolidate, which is a national agreement for the reunification of Chile.”
Along these lines, he pointed out that a new constituent process “must begin to be built based on a dialogue between all political sectors, which will be based especially in Congress, in the Chamber of Deputies and in the Senate, but that we want to do it in coordination with the President, with the Executive, with the political parties, with parliamentary representation, and also, of course, listening to civil society”.
