Senator Martínez stressed that this meeting of the parliamentary group is necessary to explain what arrangements were there
and why both Dante Delgado, from Movimiento Ciudadano (MC), and Damián Zepeda, from Acción Nacional, maintain that the coordinator Monreal was in agreement with those negotiations.
In a separate interview, Senator Cravioto commented that it is a huge disrespect
that PRI, PAN, PRD and part of the MC have put the coordinator Monreal on the ballot and that they also affirmed the day before that the agreement included not voting on the presidential initiative on the GN.
He explained that he did not attend Wednesday’s session due to an urgent personal problem, but he was sure that there were enough votes to elect Armenta. It was something manipulated and it is obvious that there was black hand. If Senator Monreal assures that they reach agreements in the Political Coordination Board, why did he not get Dante Delgado, from MC, to give him the votes he needed from the first round and waited until the third?

Separately, Senator Monreal indicated that there are always meetings prior to the sessions, in which all the issues are discussed and We will also talk about the (senators) who are missing and put important votes at risk
