President Petro's security delegation was held by FARC dissidents in Catatumbo

The Presidency of the Republic turned on the alarms due to an illegal checkpoint, which detained the president’s security delegation Gustav Petro, on the afternoon of this Wednesday, August 24.

The events were recorded by a route in the sector Saint Paul, municipality of El Tarra, in Norte de Santander.

Three vans from the Petro security outpost were reconnoitring the place, when They arrived at an illegal checkpoint made up of six people.

Two of the vehicles did not stop. but the last truck stayed and was shot by long guns.

For these facts, No injuries or fatalities reported. and from the Presidency they assure that the situation was controlled.

It should be remembered that the president Gustavo Petro is preparing to travel this Friday to the regionto advance a security advice, so the advanced finalized details of the route.
