Deputies integrated with 14 points on the agenda

The Board of Directors, chaired by deputy Carlos María López (PLRA), established a total of 14 points, to be analyzed during the ordinary session of the Chamber of Deputies, this Wednesday, August 24, starting at 08:30 a.m.

The first topic will be the bill “Which recognizes as historical compensation, labor benefits to former workers, original workers, builders, direct contractors, contractors and subcontractors of works, landlords and sub-landlords of services and health agreements and education, from the Itaipu power plant on the right bank”.

The purpose of the document is to establish historical compensation in compliance with labor claims and the rights and benefits not received by former workers.

It points out that one of the purposes is the development of an appropriate legal framework in order to promote and make effective the fulfillment of labor rights and benefits, as the only historical compensation.

The benefits claimed by the former workers are: Anuenio (additional for seniority); productivity; food voucher; uprooting; additional on vacations; Christmas bonus on additional vacations; uprooting and others.

The compensation will be paid, according to the project, with resources from Itaipu Binacional, which according to calculations will cost some USD. 900 million.
