Man chains himself to the Edenorte door due to an increase in electricity service

Villa La Mata, Sanchez Ramirez.- A user of the electrical service of this population chained himself today next to the main entrance door to the offices of Edenortein protest against the rise in the energy bill.

This is the worker Victor Manuel Difo, who argued that he carried out the action after the bill for residential electricity consumption reached him with an increase that exceeded one hundred percent.

He said that his situation is similar to that of other users who face problems with electricity payments every month.

He recalled that, by order of the President of the Republic, the increase in the electricity bill was left without effect, so he demanded that his case and that of other users to whom the rates continue to reach him bulky, be corrected.

The protest action caught the attention of other users who later expressed their solidarity with the worker, who lives in the Los Higueros sector of Villa La Mata.

A police contingent appeared at the scene, one of the officers spoke with Difo to make him give up his attitude and then he decided to take off his chains and indicated that he would be willing to continue the protests if the increases in the bills to the users of the electricity service persist in area.
