In its last epidemiological part, the Ministry of Health of the Nation notified that, this week, a total of 24,659 new infections were recorded coronavirus in all the countrya figure that represents a drop of 21% compared to last Sunday when 31,198 infections were identified.
According to the data released by the health portfolio, between Monday, August 15 and Sunday, August 21, the death rate for the coronavirus was reduced by 36% nationally, given that deaths from the illness dropped from 126 to 80 in the last seven days.
During this week, most deaths from coronavirus accumulated in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Corrientes, with 24 and 12 deaths each. While in the rest of the country, the death toll remained in single digits:

With this new update, the accumulated infection rate in Argentina now rises to 9,658,391 since the start of the pandemic, while the death rate from the virus closed at 129,646 deaths, one of the highest rates on the planet.
Strategic Vaccination Plan
In terms of national immunization, the Public Vaccination Monitor reported that a total of 108,617,321 doses of serum against the coronavirus throughout the territoryof the 115,150,662 that were distributed.
Specifically, there were 40,919,431 people who received the first dose and 37,750,228 who applied the second regimen. While 21,255,852 vaccinated men and women reinforced the scheme with a third dose, 5,520,264 with a fourth vaccine and 3,142,697 people needed an additional dose.
