The Homicide and Femicide Section of the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office, represented by prosecutor Joel Rincón, achieved in a hearing held on Thursday, August 18, 2022, the legalization of the arrest, imputation of charges for the crimes of intentional homicide, and association for alias “Figurita”, alias “Sergio” and a former member of the SPI, by Judge José Félix Sánchez, who ordered the provisional arrest of these people.
The Judge considered that there were procedural risks presented by the Public Ministry, such as the danger of flight, destruction of evidence and the nature of the event.
The events that motivated the investigation by the Public Ministry occurred on June 15, 2022, in Altaplaza Mall, when the young model from Colon, Ángel De La Espada, died as a result of 10 impacts with a firearm.
These people were apprehended through raids carried out by the Public Ministry in the “Alta” operation on August 16, 2022.
