ENA warns of possible fraud in recharging the Panapass

The National Highway Company (ENA), warned this Thursday, August 18, about the possible fraud registered by people who try to recharge the Panapass using credit cards that do not belong to them and in whose cases, when they are detected, they have been reported to the competent authorities.

The general manager of ENA Mario Zambrano recalled that fraudulently recharging the Panapass -using credit cards without authorization from the holder- is a crime, so they have security protocols to detect and block fraud attempts. “When our users top up the Panapass with a credit card, feel confident that their data is protected,” he said.

The manager added that, in case of detecting a possible fraud, ENA proceeds to file the complaint in the corresponding instances. “Users should periodically review their bank transactions, be cautious and always protect their personal data,” he stressed.
