Guillermo Márquez A. on collecting signatures: ‘The entire system is being instituted with a great lack of justice’

He expressed that what was done manually before took time, had to be verified and that was subjective.

The former magistrate of the Electoral Court (TE), Guillermo Márquez Amado, also referred this Tuesday to the beginning of the collection of signatures to support the pre-candidates for the free application, pointing out that the Electoral Court has now bet on technology, however, the problems that have arisen are because it has not been tested before being put into practice.

He added that the entire system is being instituted with a great lack of justice, with unequal conditions and that is unfair. “One of the first principles that exists in electoral matters is equality for all candidates,” he said.

He expressed that what was done manually before took time, had to be verified and that was subjective. All this gave the impression that things were not working, but now the technology has had its flaws due to not being properly tested. “Things have been deteriorating within the Electoral Court to the dissatisfaction of all Panamanians,” he said.
