in survey Similary carried out by IPSOS in 2019, the leaders Miguel Díaz-Canel and Nicolás Maduro were also ranked as the worst rulers in Latin America.

On that occasion, IPSOS clarified that the data was not representative of Latin American societies, but rather the opinion of the most informed and influential citizens in the development of public opinion.

However, since Díaz-Canel was “fingered” as the island’s ruler in 2019, Cubans have continued to show signs of rejection, including the historic anti-government protest on July 11, 2021.
