The former Congressman Richard Arce He maintains that the situation of President Pedro Castillo is critical. However, he perceives that he has a Congress to suit him, without the authority or morals to vacate it.
Arce gave an interview to the LR Noticias-Puno program and analyzed the current political crisis in the country.
The former parliamentarian does not rule out that the allegations exposed in the media and that involve the president in acts of corruption generate a counterproductive reaction, of solidarity especially in the rural sector of the interior of the country. However, he clarified that each exposed complaint has factual support.
“Who brought Bruno Pacheco?, Who brought Karelim López? She was responsible for organizing the president’s daughter’s birthday,” he said.
for maple, Pacheco, has been his friend, his brother, his trade unionist. Similarly, Juan Silva, Minister of Transport and another teacher colleague, whose merit was to have a license to occupy the Ministry of Transport. In the same way, to Zamir Villaverde that he had robbed a pizzeria at gunpoint and was demoted from the Armed Forces. “They were all from the president’s entourage,” Arce said.
magisterial geishas
The former legislator argued that diverting the role that these characters had in each of the cases investigated, appealing to the fact that Fujimorism or the opposition is behind or planted them, responds to a plan to cover the sun with a finger.
“For years we have fought against Fujimorism. I remember politicians who even called them the geishas. There was salty light, who defended the indefensible. Today the figures changed. Now the magisterial sector of the Parliament (assumes that role). They appeal to the same arguments of Fujimorism”, he specified.
They polarize the country
Richard Arce, former parliamentarian of the Broad Front, a left-wing party, added that what awaits Pedro Castillo in the coming months, is jail because he is involved in very serious acts of corruption.
“These are months of deep crisis. What terrifies and despairs me the most is to see that the government polarizes the country more, even exacerbating feelings of revenge. She is stirring up the masses (…) ”.
Arce considered that the incitement of the Premier Hannibal Torres for the ronderos to take to the streets and express their public rejection of Congress, only reveals that Castillo no longer governs the country, but is in a position of defense.
“Pedro Castillo is dedicated full time, 24 hours a day, to protecting himself so as not to go to jail and for that it is instrumentalizing the State”, he pointed out.
For the politician, the best test is the two midnight meetings with his ministers for partisan political purposes. “Now she is trying to change the narrative because they already have her sister-in-law in jail, and the response to her acts of corruption is coming with the full weight of the law,” he remarked.
Finally he said that he Congress of the republic, is part of the problem because what counts among parliamentarians is not ethics or political morality, but the sum of votes, which end up materializing certain interests. He indicated that between those who question the government and those who support the Castle, there is hypocrisy because they coexist. He regretted that Congressman Fredy Díaz, denounced for rape, remains in Congress.
