Ministry of Labor: 54.4% of workers have had practically no salary loss

The data was presented on the night of this Tuesday 9, in reference to the situation of the private sector in our country.

Those who lost between 1.01 and 2.6% of salary reaches 11.9%. They are followed with a loss greater than 4% by 10.8% of private workers, while others continue to negotiate in the wage councils.

The sectors that are located without salary loss or with 1% -according to the MTSS- are such as chemical industry, health, refrigeration industry, port services, information technology, agriculture in general and domestic service.

Among the most affected wages (loss of more than 4%) are the sectors affected by the pandemic, such as “hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, airports, sports clubs, free shops, health homes, school transportation, organization of events , international cargo transport and footwear”, according to the MTSS.
