Independent deputy Raúl Fernández explains the reasons why he will seek re-election

From the campaign, before reaching the legislative plenary session, Fernández proposed that the objective non-reelection is to regulate the indefinite reelection of deputies to a single additional period, a law for which he assured that he will continue fighting.

The independent deputy Raúl Fernández referred this Tuesday to the decision he has made to re-elect himself in office, explaining that there is a group of people willing to vote for deputies who act without corruption, nepotism and patronage.

He specified that it has been a difficult decision, which has been widely discussed with his family, however, from the campaign, before reaching the legislative plenary session, he proposed that the objective non-reelection is to regulate the indefinite reelection of deputies to a single additional period. , a law for which he assured that he will continue to fight.

“That is why I say that a single additional period and that is my word, to demonstrate this. In any activity that one carries out the learning curve is important; I am not the same today, three years ago when I came to the National Assembly, that learning curve must be valued and taken advantage of for all citizens, that is why I propose a single additional period and hopefully this will one day become a law of the Republic,” he remarked.

He said that it is necessary to propose the type of policy where the deputies leave legacies and footprints without stepping on anyone, seek to be recognized politicians and not known for discrediting others.
