This Sunday, more than 10,000 police officers and 5,000 soldiers from the Armed Forces will mobilize to guarantee the security of the event that will feature 70 cultural events. The activity will take place in the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá, where different leaders and heads of state from Chile, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Paraguay, the Netherlands, Honduras, Costa Rica and Argentina will attend.
The Minister of the Interior of Colombia, Daniel Palacios, pointed out that “a presidential inauguration has very big security challenges; but all the capacity of the Colombian State and our public force will be deployed to guarantee the peaceful transition of power. For this, the presidency of the Republic has been working with the joint team of the presidency with the outgoing ».
