The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, evaluated with the president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Mauricio Claver-Carone, the “status of the existing loans and new financing opportunities.”

“I thank Mauricio Claver-Carone of the IDB for the meeting held in which we evaluated the status of existing loans and new financing opportunities to promote inclusive development and develop infrastructure works in our country,” Massa said in his account. On twitter.

For its part, on the same social network, the IDB indicated that its president Claver-Carone “conversed by telephone with the new Argentine Economy Minister, Sergio Massa, about efforts to support Argentina’s macroeconomic stability, a framework with a view to future and how to generate sustainable economic growth”.

On Wednesday, Massa promised to manage the acceleration of disbursements from international organizations, whose credits are in the pipeline but have yet to be approved and others had already been approved but were delayed, for US$ 1,200 million; as well as a new program with CAF for an additional US$750 million.

In addition, Massa announced that three international financial institutions and a sovereign fund offered “four Repo offers: to strengthen reserves and repurchase sovereign debt.”

They would be resolved in the coming weeks, as a result of the negotiations in the next international tour that the new minister will face, through Washington and New York, France and Qatar, a country that has a sovereign fund of US $ 300,000 million, which gives credits and contributes funds to companies and other nations.

These announcements, which go online to meet goals with the IMF, will trigger disbursements to repay millionaire maturities with the agency, with which work meetings already began last Monday, as announced.

In another order, through different decrees published yesterday in the Official Gazette, the Government approved three models of loan contracts from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance US$ 533 million in health, road infrastructure and tourism programs.
