The Ministry of Energy, through Resolution number MIPRE-2022-0027608 of July 27, 2022, disclosed the maximum prices for sale to the public of some liquid fuels in Panama, which present a drop in their costs as of this Friday, July 29.
According to official information, disclosed in the Official Gazette, the price of a liter of 95-octane gasoline was set, for the provinces of Panama and Colón, at $1,236, which means that a gallon of this fuel will be worth $4.68, which means that at The government will have to subsidize $1.43 for each gallon consumed.
Meanwhile, 91-octane gasoline will cost $1,137 per liter, that is, $4.34 per gallon, with the government subsidizing $1.09 per gallon purchased by the population.
For its part, the price of low-sulfur diesel was set at $1,205 per liter, which translates into $4.56 per gallon, corresponding to the State subsidizing $1.31 per gallon purchased by drivers.
These new prices represent a drop in the price of fuels, since until this Friday they have a price per liter of $1,387 (95-octane gasoline), $1,255 (91-octane gasoline) and $1,255 (sulfur-free diesel).
These prices will take effect from 6:00 am next Friday, July 29, and will be valid until 5:59 am next August 12, nationwide.
