The Vice President of Colombia, Francia Márquez, will begin this Saturday at the National Auditorium of the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) a dialogue -personal and political- within the framework of Proyecto Ballena, which during this year proposes reflections on the word freedom. “I am because we are”: a cry of struggle and peace is an unavoidable invitation to unite the imaginations and forces of the region to face inequality, the socioeconomic, ecological and human crisis that the present faces.
The interview, which will begin at 5:00 p.m., will be presented by Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, and will be led by Verónica Gago, feminist activist and author of “Neoliberal reason. Baroque economies and popular pragmatics, The feminist power. Or the desire to change everything”, editor of The Feminist International. Gago was part of the militant research group Situaciones, and currently of the feminist group #NiUnaMenos.
The meeting will feature the special participation of Beatriz Pichi Malen, a singer of Mapuche origin. Her musical proposal gathers the poetry, vision and strength of her people. Beatriz is a member of the National Committee for the Earth Charter, generated by the initiative of the Earth Council, based in Costa Rica.
