The political activist, leader of the Citizen Consultation Movement and candidate for mayor of Panama for free candidacy, Luis Pinedo, made an analysis on Monday of the first four days of meetings of the single dialogue table, stating that “I still doubt that the Government understands why it is sitting at the dialogue table and that it understands the magnitude of the problem in which we find ourselves”.
In his opinion, the government has not understood this because it does not have the capacity to solve the real problem. “The real problem goes beyond medicines and gasoline, but they have not understood it nor can they solve it because it is a problem of political magnitude, beyond the social; here what has us in this situation are the millions of dollars that are stolen from the government, in payroll, in diversion of funds, gasoline paid in representation expenses, allowances, collection of double and triple salaries, the evidence is evident,” he specified.
Pinedo stressed that he doubts that a PRD government can tell its officials to cut the bottles, the forms, to remove the allowances, etc.
According to the leader, the point of the millions, payroll increase, should have been in point one, mainly for economic reasons.
