Resistencia and Guaraní close date 3 with a draw in white

In a match that closed the third day of the Closing Tournament, Resistencia equalized this Monday 0-0 with Guaraní in the Jardines del Kelito. The Legendary played almost the entire second half with 10 men due to the expulsion of Luis Fariña.

In the first half, the black-and-white team had several goal situations but they did not materialize, mainly an arrival in which the ball even hit both posts of the Rhuan Dos Santos goal, traveling the entire goal line, but it did not reach Enterokay.

In the complementary stage, the process changed as a result of the expulsion of Luis Fariña. The former Cerro Porteño player participated in a defensive action in which he crossed paths with a sky-blue attacker, who was the one who elbowed the Argentine. However, the referee Mario Díaz de Vivar interpreted that the Guaraní player interrupted the rival attack with a foul and showed him the second yellow card and, therefore, the red one.

It was only the fourth minute of the second half (49′) and Fernando Jubero’s team had to face the rest of the match with one less man.

Despite the numerical advantage on the pitch, those led by Roberto ‘Tiburón’ Torres were not sure enough to take advantage of that situation, and the game went straight to 0-0 as the final score.

With this result, Resistencia reached 5 points and is still undefeated in the Clausura, while Guaraní reached 4 points, accumulating a win, a draw and a loss in three days of the championship.
