Conga Awards delivered this year’s winners

The 2022 Conga Awards multi-awarded the salsero Yiyo Sarante on the night of this Wednesday, July 20, in the categories of “Great Salsa Conga”, “Salsa of the Year” and “Salsa of the Year” and the most outstanding in the industry were recognized sauceboat.

This gala, held at the Jet Set nightclub, was enlivened by salsa exponents Ehchawnee, Alex Matos, Sexappeal, Charlie Cruz, Miguel Méndez, Félix Manuel, Eddie Bonilla, the Conga orchestra, among other artists.

Conga Awards, organized by the engineer Johnny Mejía, Eugenio Pérez and Francisco “Chino” Méndezpaid posthumous tribute to the career of the arranger and salsa artist Víctor Waill.

In the category “Best Salsa Promoter” Richard Richardson was the winner; Amable Valenzuela, “Salsa Show Entrepreneur”, while Raulín Rosendo won the “Best Salsa Album” with “Tranquilo yo controlo”.

Likewise, the “Best Salsero Show” was won by Sexappeal with “20 años, Pura Sabrosura”; Alex Matos, the “Salsero in Social Networks” and “Best Video Clip”, “Ángel”, by Chiquito Team Band.

In the category “International Salsero Recognition” Charlie Cruz, Eh Shawnee and Jean Jorge were awarded.
