An investigation carried out by agents of the Canelones Police Headquarters for two thefts and one robbery resulted in the conviction of three people. The crimes took place in March and April in the area of the Monte Victoria settlement, located in Salinas North.
The authorities identified a 29-year-old man as the perpetrator of the three crimes. With the information collected they went to the streets 60 and 42 of the settlement Pinamar North to perform a search.
Upon arrival at the site, the agents did not find anyone, so they asked a neighbor in the area to serve as a witness to the raid. After thoroughly reviewing the farm, the troops found the man hiding under an armchair. The subject had with him a white weapon with a 30 cm blade.
At the time of his arrest, the police seized ammunition, a cell phone and a stolen concrete mixer. After appearing before the Justice of Canelones, ASRE was sentenced as the author of a crime of aggravated robbery and one of aggravated reception in reiteration between them. For this he must serve a sentence of five and a half years in prison.
Likewise, the investigations allowed to identify two women of 24 and 27 years of age as the buyers of the cell phones that were the object of the crimes. After completing the judicial instance, a sentence was ordered against them for a crime of reception. The penalty for both is six months, which they will serve on probation.
