More than one hundred bus lines in the city of Buenos Aires and the suburbs of Buenos Aires continued this Thursday, for the third consecutive day, with the reduction in the frequencies of the service in claim for the delay in the payment of tariff subsidies, which generated inconvenience to commuters commuting to work during rush hour.
The measure of force began on Tuesday at 0 by the lines grouped in the Business Chamber of Passenger Transport (CEAP), the Business Chamber of Urban Transport of Buenos Aires (Cetuba) and the Chamber of Transport of the Province of Buenos Aires (Ctpba) and is extended for an indefinite period .
On Wednesday morning, authorities from the Ministry of Transport and representatives of the passenger motor transport chambers met to seek a solution to the situation caused by the delay in the payment of subsidies.
The companies claim compensation owed for 18,000 million pesos and warn that the value of the ticket without subsidy should be located at 150 pesos.
Government sources told Télam that “it was a dialogue with good predisposition on both sides” and that they are looking for “the necessary tools so that the service can be guaranteed to the user and they do not encounter inconveniences”.
However, from the business sector they declared that there was no agreement with the Government and confirmed that the delays in services will continue: “The conflict is not unraveled, both parties agree to continue talking,” said Mario Vacca, of the Business Chamber of the Urban Transport (Cetuba).
this thursday morning delays and long lines were repeated in key places such as the railway stations of Constitución, Chacarita, Once and Liniers, which are passenger links in the metropolitan area.
But, according to several passengers on television channels, the delays are less than in previous mornings and the biggest problem occurs in the afternoon, when they return to their homes after working hours.
