A cell of the Tren de Aragua criminal organization attacked a patrol of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) in Maracay (Aragua) and as a result a uniformed officer died as well as injured a deputy, according to sources from the security agency.
This event occurred early Tuesday morning on Los Aviadores avenue in the capital of Aragón, where a commission of officials attached to the Aragua Base Organized Crime Directorate of the PNB was traveling by vehicle.
And it is at that moment when the criminals fire on the patrol, mortally wounding Jesús Eduardo Bolívar Briceño, who holds the rank of supervisor.
The uniformed man, injured in the left pectoral, was transferred to the “José Antonio Vargas” Social Security where he died minutes later.
During that same event, deputy Piter José Sayago (PSUV) was also injured in the left forearm, for which he was admitted to the Maracay Medical Center, according to the report.
The criminals are part of the criminal group El Asdrúbal, a cell of the Tren de Aragua.
In the last few hours, security agencies have carried out a deployment in Aragua to capture the material authors of the murder committed against the sociologist and Chavista leader Carlos Lanz, as reported by the attorney general, Tarek William Saab.
