Ecommerce: 70 leaders meet to improve the online shopping experience in the country

At the gates of Cyber ​​Day, more than 70 leaders of the main organizations that promote electronic commerce in Peru gathered at the Innovation Breakfast organized by the Peruvian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CAPECE), with the aim of improving the online shopping experience and increasing online trust in the ecosystem.

According to INDECOPI, during 2021 more than 83,739 reports and claims for electronic commerce were registered. Of the total of these, 83% correspond to Lima and the rest come from other regions. The months with the highest incidence were April, July and November, which precisely coincide with the CYBER campaigns.

Using agile methodologies, the executives were divided into eight tables, simulating the entire purchase process carried out by an online consumer to identify the best e-commerce practices at each stage of the purchase funnel:

Shopping experience: Jesús Pacheco from Ibiza Store, Carmen Salhua from Real Plaza, Gabriela Corcuera and Luisiana Bautista from Topsa, Sandra Figueroa from Leonisa, Luis Felipe Checa from Mercado Libre, Sofía Fernandez from Niubox, Carlos Lizana from Pay U, Rafael Hospina from Kushki, Daniel Vargas and Pedro Ganoza from Mercado Pago, Jhonattan Navarro from Leonisa, Christians Mory from Diners, María Laura Orfanó from Simbel, Alan Gonzales from Oracle, Kevin Yarleque from Futury, Maria Gracia Mendoza from Niubox and Franklin Marcelo from Flexi.

“We are aware that every day thousands of problems are reported in internet sales in the country; However, the companies affiliated with CAPECE have been working to improve the industry and build a true ecosystem where buyers and sellers trust each other. An example of this is this innovation breakfast, where more than 70 leading brands worked side by side on this proposal. which we hope will be very helpful, especially for the new players that join the Ecommerce ecosystem,” said Helmut Cáceda, executive president of the Peruvian Chamber of Electronic Commerce.

Likewise, Cáceda assured that with all the information obtained, a report will be worked on with the best practices in the industry for this new post-pandemic consumer period.
