Thirteen confirmed cases of monkeypox in the country

The country registers 13 cases of monkeypox confirmed until July 14, of which 12 had a history of travel prior to the onset of symptoms, it was reported this Sunday.

According to the National Epidemiological Bulletin (BEN) presented this Sunday by the Ministry of Health, a renewed version of the Integrated Surveillance Bulletin, the median age of monkeypox cases is 34 years, with a minimum of 26 and a maximum of 45. .

All the cases correspond to the male sex, added the BEN.

According to the breakdown, the City of Buenos Aires registers five confirmed cases of monkeypox; the province of Buenos Aires, 4; Cordoba, 3; and Mendoza, 1.

While there are two suspected cases, one in CABA and the other in Córdoba, added the BEN.

The director of Epidemiology of the Ministry, Carlos Giovacchini, stressed that the BEN “is the result of the process of systematic collection, analysis and dissemination of information that is carried out throughout the entire Argentine territory by more than 21,000 people who They participate in the National Health Surveillance System.
