President Alberto Fernández called on families to “know in Tecnópolis everything that the State does in terms of culture, education, science, technology” since, he affirmed, “the future of the country lies in the development of knowledge” , at the reopening of the mega exhibition with the slogan “Sovereign Argentina, creating futures”.
“It is the most important park of knowledge we have”, Fernandez said at the eleventh edition of Tecnópolis, which will feature cultural and educational proposals for all ages, by more than 60 organizations and institutions.
Speaking to the press upon arrival at the event, the President declared: “We are going to continue working hard because that is our mission. They have left us a broken country. With a lot of effort, with a pandemic, with a war, we are recovering. We have problems to solve, such as inflation, but Argentina has a future and that is why we have to build it together.”
The President also thanked Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for having promoted the creation of Tecnópolis in 2011, noting that she “always says that they didn’t let her hold the event on 9 de Julio (avenue).”
“How lucky that they didn’t let her, how lucky that she created this property. How lucky that every year we can remember that science and technology serve Argentine development,” he said.
At the event, the Minister of Science and Technology, Daniel Filmus, said that “it is a great joy to open Tecnópolis” and considered that “there is no future without science, technology, education and culture”.
“We work for a sovereign country, for the inclusion of everyone in the framework of science and culture,” said Filmus.
Among other authorities, the Minister of Education, Jaime Perczyk; the Minister of Women, Gender and Diversity, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta; the Minister of Culture, Tristán Bauer; and the Legal and Technical Secretary of the Nation, Vilma Ibarra.
The 2022 edition of Tecnópolis, which will be open to the public until the end of October, this year has the slogan “Sovereign Argentina, creating futures.”
Located in Villa Martelli, the park will open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 noon to 7 pm, during the winter break. Starting in August, it can be visited from Thursday to Sunday.
The exhibition that was going to reopen its doors this Saturday with free admission, coinciding with the winter school holidays throughout the country, with the aim of bringing sovereignty closer to citizens and thinking of science and technology as a projection to the future, decided to postpone it for tomorrow at noon for climatic reasons.

The mega exhibition of art, science and technology will be open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 noon to 7 pm, during the winter break, and from August, in coordination with the Ministry of Education of the Nation, visits from schools from all over the country will return. Thursday to Sunday until October 23.
“In the different spaces of the park, all the technological and productive development of public policies is reflected as a projection towards the future, reflecting a little the best of what we are as Argentines, expressed through art,” he explained to Télam the director of Tecnópolis, María Rosenfeldt.
Thus, he mentioned that each of the proposals points to knowledge from the game, entertainment and experience. “Tecnópolis synthesizes a cultural policy and access to art, science and technology for free with a seal of quality”Rosenfeldt pointed out.
Regarding the motto of the sovereigntyexplained that the park’s proposal is “to bring citizens closer to the 40 years of the Malvinas, the 100 years of YPF, the 90 years of National Roads, but to expand sovereignty towards new dimensions such as environmental, technological, bodies”.
In this sense, Rosenfeldt listed that there is a Technopolis space that deals with maritime sovereignty, to “approach the sea and see it as a territory”, as well as a space for aerospace and astronomy sovereignty, a joint effort with the Ministry of Science and Technology.
As for the novelties of this edition, the director remarked that the Amazing Park of Zamba and Ninawhich had worked until 2015, and which is organized around a timeline that allows the recovery of collective memory and social ties.
“We also work on proposals for early childhood, from 0 to 2 years old, such as the Floating exhibition, and for older children we have The house of the Colossus and the space of Maria Elena Walsh, which is a fundamental reference, which has to continue to be transmitted from generation to generation; in addition to the electronic arts space, with topics related to robotics and artificial intelligence”.
“The Congress of the Boys and the Girls”
The Legislative Power will participate in the Tecnópolis mega-exhibition with an interactive proposal called “The Congress of boys and girls”, designed as a space to learn by playing about the legislative power and citizen participation.
“This year the stand of the National Congress in Tecnópolis seeks to bring legislative content, those that have to do with democracy, debate and citizen participation, to children and adolescents, in order to bring this closer in a way playful, fun, interactive”, told Télam Radio María Cecilia Capella, head of content for the General Directorate of Culture of the Senate of the Nation.
Thus, Capella stressed that the stand will have interactive screens “where you can follow the path of a bill” and a wall where visitors “will be able to stick ideas with Post-It (small sheets of self-adhesive paper) and the issues that concern you the most.
In the meantime, he mentioned that there will be a sector of the venue where the boys will be able to do a debate activity, they will be able to vote and “make a kind of simile session”, and a trivia space, “where they can answer questions”.
And he added that a section called “Bancatela”where the boys and girls will be able to give a historical speech or a free speech, which is recorded and then sent to their emails.
