A few days ago it transpired that the director of Unit No. 4 of Santiago Vázquez, Anthony Vallejo, ordered the COMCAR inmates to build a barbecue for his house using prison materials.
The barbecue was built by those deprived of liberty in the Industrial Pole of the prison. Once the structure was assembled, it was transferred in an official vehicle by the director of the center, Wellington Sierra.
This Saturday, July 16, the Ministry of the Interior reported that once the emergency information carried out by the National Rehabilitation Institute had been completed, the Secretary of State ceased to coordinate the penitentiary of the Unit Complex No. 4 (Santiago Vázquez) to the chief commissioner Antonny Vallejo, appointing instead Commissioner Carlos Taroco.
After receiving the conclusions of said urgent information, the director of the National Rehabilitation Institute, Luis Mendoza, ordered an administrative summary with dismissal for Vallejo.
In addition, the Secretary of State decided to dismiss Deputy Commissioner Willington Sierra as director of the Industrial Pole of Unit No. 4, at the same time that an administrative summary was initiated without separation from his position.
