99% of educational units across the country have already returned to face-to-face classes, reported the Minister of Education, Edgar Pary. He anticipates that this week it will reach 100%.
“We are with 99% of face-to-face classes. Our great desire is to consolidate face-to-face education because it is more comprehensive, ”said the educational authority after highlighting that the missing 1% have problems in their infrastructure and biosafety supplies.
For this reason, he regretted that some municipalities did not renovate the schools in a timely manner, for which he asked the authorities to equip and renovate the schools.
Regarding the agreement they signed with the Confederation of Urban Teachers, Pary indicated that 85% of the 3,300 items that they promised to deliver, have already been executed and now the technical work is being carried out to identify where the teacher is needed.
“We must remember that in 2020 not one item was delivered, in 2021 1,700 items were delivered and this year 3,300,” said the authority after noting that this year the number of charges that were delivered doubled.
In addition, he indicated that they are also working on technical reports for the leveling of hours for teachers.
However, one of the teachers’ leaders who spoke with Radio Panamericana maintained that the Government has a period of one month to comply with all the commitments, otherwise they will return to the streets.
