After the inspections carried out by the Ministry of Education in the educational centers of Panama Center, it was announced that only 68 schools are ready from the biosafety point of view, since they already have their certification as safe schools.
The Teaching Technical Subdirector, in Central Panama, explained that in terms of educational centers that are operational to start classes, they have 72% and the remaining 28% are currently being intervened.
He stated that within the campuses that are not yet ready is the Arts and Crafts and mainly those located in the Paitilla area. “These are minor maintenance situations that are being intervened, such as water, bathrooms and painting,” he said, noting that they will finish these details during the first week of organization. He pointed out that those larger projects that each school has will have to be resolved in the near future.
