51% of those surveyed approve that the holder of the Public ministry, Patricia Benavidezhas submitted the constitutional complaint against the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo. This was revealed by the survey carried out by the Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP) published this Sunday in The Republic.
On the other hand, 39% do not support the filing of said appeal by the prosecutor of the nation against Castle Lumps before the Congress of the Republic. While 4% do not know or have no opinion on the subject.
As reported, on October 11, Benavidez Vargas presented before the Parliament the constitutional complaint for the cases Tarata III Bridge and Petroperú. She accuses the president of the alleged crimes of criminal organization, aggravated collusion and influence peddling.
This complaint also reaches former ministers John Silva (Transport and Communications) and Geiner Alvarado (Housing, Construction and Sanitation).
Pedro Castillo: increasing perception that he is involved in acts of corruption
Another detail that can be appreciated from the IEP study —carried out in partnership with the newspaper The Republic— is that a 59% of Peruvians consider that the head of state is immersed in acts of corruption. Meanwhile, 27% reject it and only 14% of those surveyed do not know and have no opinion.

The IEP study has a sample of 1,208 interviewees, which was carried out on people over 18 years of age nationwide. This was carried out from October 22 to 27 and has a margin of error of 2.8 points above and below each result in its representation of the national situation, as well as a confidence level of 95%.
