41.3% of analysts see volatility as an economic risk

41.3% of Colombian analysts see volatility as one of the main macroeconomic risks. This was determined by the new survey of Financial Professionals 2022 by the international firm Natixis Investment Managers.

Likewise, 42.7% of the experts questioned pointed to this market volatility as a “key risk”. This, motivated by the behavior of the market in the first half of the current year.

For the current study, 150 financial professionals from the country were consulted, among 600 for the entire region.

In addition to the risk of market volatility, in the country 61.3% consider inflation as their greatest risk, while the war in Ukraine occupies 52.7%.

However, few believe that the market decline will continue towards the end of the year. 9.9% of those consulted in the country believe that the S&P500 will register a modest gain, while the Colcap index will be 8.7%.

“To grow their businesses, financial professionals will have to adapt,” said José Luis León, country head for Colombia and Peru at Natixis.
