The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health highlights that by Friday, January 28, 2022, 20 deaths were reported in the country’s hospitals as a result of Covid-19, of which 18 did not have the complete vaccination scheme against the coronavirus.

Of the 18 deceased, 12 did not have any dose applied and six had a dose placed, as confirmed by the report.

The Minsa highlighted that 90% of the deaths that have occurred since the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan against Covid-19 (PanavaC-19) in January 2021 to date correspond to people who did not have a complete vaccination schedule.

Given this situation, the health authorities reiterated the call to the population to come to apply the vaccine against Covid-19 and complete their vaccination schedule, which is two three doses (booster) from the age of 16.

The National Government reiterated that it has acquired the safest and most effective vaccines that exist in the world against Covid-19 with the aim of safeguarding the life and health of the population during this pandemic.
