174 undocumented immigrants arrested during an operation in Jarabacoa and the Northwest Line

Dajabón,- Members of the migration control team of the General Directorate of Migration detained 174 undocumented Haitians, including four 47 in Jarabacoa and the others during operations carried out in the provinces of the Northwest Line.

During the investigations on roads, inhabited houses, checkpoints, health centers and wandering around, 146 men and 32 women were detained, in irregular migratory conditions to be in the country, of which seven are pregnant and 10 children who accompanied their parents.

The operations were carried out in the municipality of Jarabacoa, province of La Vega, Montecristi, Valverde and Dajabón, in areas of public and private health centers, around the economic dining room and the municipal cemetery of Dajabón. Also at a checkpoint for the different highways.

All of the detainees were taken to the shelter center in this border city, from where they were repatriated to their territory.

The operations against the presence of undocumented immigrants in our territory are part of the Bayahonda operation, a day in which the military and DGM inspectors are involved, following an agreement signed by the general director Enrique García and the general commander of the Dominican army, Major General Julio Florian Perez.
