The new shipment with 100,620 new doses of vaccines from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer arrived today, to continue with the vaccination process carried out by Operation PanavaC-19.

The authorities reported that, as of next Thursday, November 11, the vaccination will be extended to the 8-1 circuit in Arraiján and to the 8-10 circuit in East Panama, for the application of the booster dose to people over 55 years of age.

While in circuit 12-2 of the Ngäbe Buglé Comarca, doses will be applied against COVID-19, through the sweep mode from 12 years of age.

The Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) revealed that until yesterday, Monday, in Panama, 5 million 856 thousand 482 doses have been applied, of which 3 million 48 thousand 555 are first doses; 2 million 693 thousand 301 are second doses; 5 thousand 449 third doses and 109 thousand 177 are of reinforcements.

The Ministry of Health called on citizens to continue with biosafety measures, such as the use of a mask, facial screen, alcohol gel or alcohol, maintain physical distance and ensure constant hand washing.
