San Lorenzo defeated 1-0 to Cordoba Workshops to win Group B of the International Summer Tournament and get the passport for the final of the contest, which will define next Tuesday against Boca Juniors.
A solitary goal by Nicolás ‘Uvita’ Fernández allowed ‘Ciclón’ directed by Pedro Troglio to add their second victory this summer, after having repeated the same result in the premiere of this Zone B against Independiente.
In this way, San Lorenzo will define this summer international tournament against Boca Juniors, who in Group A also arrive undefeated after their 2-0 wins against Colo Colo and 3-2 against the University of Chile.
The historic Summer Tournament was staged in the coastal city of Mar del Plata, however, the northern province of San Juan was considered, although this idea did not prosper and they finally decided that all the matches would be held in La Plata.
The Argentine tournament will begin on February 11 after postponing its start for a week due to the wave of coronavirus infections, while the Chilean championship has scheduled its first matches for the 4th of the same month.
