FEderico Zeballos and Boris Arias are one step away from adding a new international title. Both Bolivian tennis players qualified this Thursday for the semifinals of the Mexico City Open after beating Mexican Luis Patiño and Spanish Adrián Menéndez (6-4 and 6-2) in the quarterfinals.
The best duo in the country is in the northern country with the aim of conquering its second Challenger. The first was in January of this year at the Challenger in Blumenau, Brazil.
The tournament takes place at the Chapultepec Sports Center.
The debut took place on Tuesday against a duo that qualified by wild card (invitation card) to the main draw made up of the Australian Bernard Tomic and the Mexican Manuel Sánchez, whom they defeated 7-6(0) and 6-4.
This Thursday, in the quarterfinals they beat Patiño and Menéndez 6-4 and 6-2 lAfter 1 hour and 14 minutes of play.
They are waiting to meet their next rivalswhich will come from the duel between the American Evan King with the Swiss Marc Huesler and the Frenchman Jonathan Eysseric and the Australian Artem Sitak.
Until now the national duo has seven professional titles in its showcasesone of them and the most important occurred last January with the crown in the Blumenau Challenger, in Brazil.
