The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, said that the continuous imperialist aggressions against Venezuela, “has led us to firmly assume a stage of economic, social, communicational and democratic offensive.”
During his participation in the Voces del Mundo forum that takes place at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas, Gil made reference in the last 10 years, from the Decree of Barack Obama, where the people have been the protagonist of a firm resistance and has given signs of stoicism, allowing our voice to be heard and then move on to an offensive stage.
“This democracy in Venezuela is increasingly perfected, not only with elections, but with popular participation, as established by the National Constitution and that prominence we have reality today”- Gil said.
Yván Gil said that the Bolivarian doctrine is part of our essence and we maintain the condition of being a free, sovereign, fighter, resistant and combative country. “President Nicolás Maduro Moros is a leader who has been subjected to all kinds of aggressions, has not only faced economic blockages that is already enough, as well as sabotages to our oil industry and the confiscation of our assets abroad, but attempts at assassins and attempts to subvert the constitutional and social order.”
Before more than 120 guests of the communication sector from 50 countries, Foreign Minister Yván Gil mentioned the honor that this forum involves, giving relevance to a great cause for humanity, as is the case of the Palestinian people.
«We are talking about a historical moment where humanity itself is at stake. It is not another event that we have had at the beginning of this forum, but a reminder that the cause of Palestine is the cause of life itself, is the cause of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and of all humanity ».
Build Communicational Network in Defense of Truth
Minister Gil added that “we have a main battle to build a communication network and take the truth, that truth that is built daily in the Bolivarian Revolution, where wonders of popular participation occur every day and that try to silence.”
He reiterated that we are currently facing “many transversalized challenges for the issue of journalism to spread the truth and you have been fighting to convey reality and interpret the situations that are presented to us in the world”, while recognizing the impulse of the communicators; Not only from Venezuela, but from the world, who focus on establishing the truth against neo -fascism and colonialism.
To base their approaches, Gil recalled that countries in Latin America and Africa have been threatened with the US possibility of kidnapping and persecuting their citizens, if they do not fulfill their designs, sufficient reasons to boost a communicational struggle.
Our voices must be stronger and more
Minister Yván Gil insisted that “our voices” must be increasingly strong and intense to guide the actions of the present towards the future, before the insistent attacks of imperialism, “that which we have often denounced”, as well as “the fascism that we have also fought” and “the neocolonialism that tries to activate, invade and dominate the New World.”
He continued stating that «we are a country that has had the bliss, the fortune or destiny of living with the most important reserves of the planet. We are a country that has more than 300,000 million barrels of oil in reserve; They could even be many more ».
He stressed that Venezuela is a country “that also had the happiness of having a leadership as the Liberator Simón Bolívar and with the orientation of great men and women, thinkers such as the great Francisco de Miranda, Antonio José de Sucre, who left this land to release a whole continent and promote a new ideology, a new doctrine of liberation, of freedom, sovereignty, independence and that marked a whole generation.”
He affirmed that fascist governments have risen in Argentina and Ecuador, generating communication devices for the dissemination and promotion of xenophobia, lies, violence and domination.
In that context, he recalled how Commander Chávez, from communication, was necessary to identify that field as one of the main battles to be fought, and added that the forum is an opportunity to build an alliance to take the truth that is built from all sectors of the country, and that the big media want to omit.
Finally, Gil denounced the kidnapping of Venezuelan girls and boys from the United States, which cataloged as “one more sample of hate and complex against Venezuela”, so he urged to join voices to replicate this situation before the world.
In this context, he stressed that President Nicolás Maduro managed to rescue 252 migrants who remained in the Center for Confinement of Terrorism (CECOT) in El Salvador, and described this fact as a great victory of the Bolivarian Revolution and the Venezuelan people.
