The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Yván Gil, highlighted that the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) is proposed from and for the people.
In a special analysis program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the chancellor highlighted that the essence of the Alliance “is absolutely popular” that transcends classic organizations in which only tariff measures are discussed, such as the Mercosur mechanism.
This conception, Gil continued, allowed ALBA-TCP to carry out projects “as beautiful as the Milagro mission was, as Petrocaribe was, as Petrocaribe is now relaunched by the president [Nicolás Maduro]”, is to give us energy security, food security, health security, pharmaceutical security, humanism, and of course also strengthen ourselves as an economy, strengthen ourselves as a country as well.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that there is no type of organization in the world like the Bolivarian Alliance, where “the center is the human being, the center is the people; It is absolutely new.”
