The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, highlighted the deep ties of friendship that Venezuela and China maintain, since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution to the country.
In this regard, he said in his telegram account that these are “two villages that march together towards prosperity.”
His statements arise after he attended the celebration of the Chinese New Year that took place on Wednesday, in the Plaza de la Juventud, where he was accompanied by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Lan Hu, and the Venezuelan people.
In this regard, he said that Venezuela extends its best wishes to the entire population of China and the community of the Asian giant in the Bolivarian country, wishing them a “happy and prosperous celebration” of this rich cultural tradition.
Lunar New Year
China celebrated the beginning of its lunar new year, with its usual celebration of the spring party, which is one of the main cultural events in the Asian giant.
This year the holiday will take place from January 29 to February 12. The symbol of the new year is the green wooden snake, which represents a deep wisdom, mental acuity, flexibility and courage.
In a speech, President Xi Jinping stressed that the country achieved significant progress in 2024, including innovations in science, technology and industry.
