The foreign ministers of Venezuela, Yván Gil, and of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, met this Sunday as part of the celebration of the III Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the European Unionwhich will meet this Monday and Tuesday in Brussels.
This was reported by Gil on his Twitter account, in which he published “During our stay in Brussels for the EU-CELAC Summit, we met with the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, with whom we exchanged messages of support for our peoples. Cuba and Venezuela will continue advancing on the path of unity and peace.”
In the video posted on the tweet, Yván Gil can be seen in the company of the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, when greeting the Cuban foreign minister, just before starting the bilateral meeting.
According to Prensa Latina, in the bilateral meeting, the foreign ministers of Venezuela and Cuba reiterated their anti-imperialist position, rejecting the unilateral coercive measures and blockade imposed by the United States on the two countries.
In the dialogue, Gil and Rodríguez also reviewed the relations of brotherhood and solidarity that unite the two peoples.
