The municipality of Tibaná, Boyacain the first week of July was the scene of the edition 2024 National Tractor-Trailer Competitionwhere Yulieth Aponte became an inspiration. His participation was applauded as it was the only woman behind the wheel at this event.
This contest, with 18 years of traditionis a benchmark in the heavy transport sector in Colombia. In addition to being a space for coexistence and competition, pays homage to the Virgin of Carmenpatron saint of drivers. This year, 80 drivers participated, including Yulieth, who drew attention with her tractor-trailer decorated in pink and flowers, standing out among the other competitors.
Yulieth, a mule driver from Boyacá
Yulieth, known on Instagram as “La mulera,” uses her social media to share her passion for driving tractor-trailers, challenging the stereotype that these vehicles are only for men. Originally from BoyacáAponte already has experience in this type of competition, although this was his first participation at a national level, and the first time he competed with his pink-decorated tractor-trailer.
Among his previous achievements stands out his victory in one of the categories of the Mobil Delvac Grand Prix, held at the Tocancipá Racetrack in 2022.
On social media, after the event, Yulieth has received numerous congratulations for her skill and bravery, especially from women who see her as an example to follow.
